We need to seek God’s presence before seeking the promise of the future.
When Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the city, he started not with plans and construction, but with penitence and grief. Before the Israelites could build a new wall, they first needed a new spirit.
As this church enters into a new moment, we’re going to continue to follow the Nehemiah story, and we’re going to continue to move forward as one body in one direction.
Let’s take action together to rebuild this church that God dearly loves.
We need to seek God’s presence before seeking the promise of the future.
Nehemiah 1:1-11, 2:1-8
